Rocketeer it is. Look forward to meeting you and seeing your boat.

Boat is supposed to be in pretty fair condition Locomotion. But I will know more this weekend. As you said, I can appreciate the complexities of restoring anything that is 60 years old! Good news is that I am retired and have time to learn, "with a little help from my new friends" (some new tools and a few greenbacks I'm sure). Pretty handy in most things if I take my time and get good advice. (Ain't this internet great?) Haven't experienced boat rivets yet and can't imagine what road to take on the "faded anodized color" but time will tell. Will post pick-up pictures Sunday or Monday sgower. I love the photos too!

Like a Rocket wrote: Thanks Jabe! Adventure is good. Nice to see the enthusiasm of this crew. You guys sound like you have a good time together. I will have a little better idea what lies before me when I pick the boat up Sunday. Till then guess I'll be scouring the internet to try to get educated.

Do you have any description of the condition of the boat?
There are a number of things to beware of when you look at buying a 60 year old aluminum boat, some things are harder than others to repair, major dents can be difficult to repair, major corrosion can be a major problem to repair, old bad repairs by previous owners can be difficult to put back right. Take the time to inspect it closely, and keep your willingness and abilities to perform repairs in mind.
Good luck!!
