Thanks Steve. I bought it.

I clicked on the 'ebay' icon and pasted in the web address of the listing. I thought that was how I'd done it before.

Dan, fixed it for you, and just to think, you are the one who showed me how it was done...

Just post the ebay ad number between the ebay link brackets...

Mercgeo,

I searched ebay for Mercury controls and got 21,326 hits.

Please post a link to the $80.00 listing and I'll buy it now.

EDIT: is this it?

Oh well, I use to be able to post an ebay link.

Sorry
Forgot to add there are at least a half doz merc two lever controls on ebay right now...
$67 low $134 high

Real nice set on there for $80 bucks. The set I'd buy if I was looking.

No elec start though.
One of these days I'd like to rig a key on the front of the mtr for elec start...& use manual choke.

Holy smokes :woohoo: Toby Hall is your uncle???
I'd be honored to have you run one of my very best.
Toby Hall is a very classy cat...all his stuff is PERFECT...your motor is in good hands.
Toby won the mancave contest on John's Old Mercury hands DOWN

I'd love to have a peek at that 56 mk55. I have one too that was bought new by a General Electric turbine engineer...he has his name scribed on one cyl. Cool as hell.

I don't really have any controls to sell  but they are certainly avail for loan at RPV.
I am saving them for the Lone Star which I plan to run triples on. Prob. mk30's.

I don't have any electric stuff for sale either as I prefer rope start :S
All the elec stuff I do have I need.

I did some more cooling mods on "Uncle Sam" tonight- ugliest merc you ever saw but promises to be one of the greats...stay tuned

Geo,
I would love to run one of yours if you have an extra. I do have steering cables and a control box, but no throttle and FNR cables.

I think you know my Uncle, Toby Hall. He is giving my motor the "outboard whisperer" touch this summer.

Rivet-runner, I bought it, but have not found a way to get it down here yet. I had one guy on Uship offer to do it for $1500.

Merc George,

I'll be bringing a 1956 55E.

I'd like you to look it over if you'd be so kind. I'd be interested in controls if you have them as I have none. I need electrical, too.

Merc geo will have four mk30's at RPV.
And possibly a 44in motor so I can play with the fast boys B)
I think a mk55 is too much motor for a 53DR but chief rivithead sez it will be fine

You can always sign up for my "rent to own" program

Easy terms- no credit check- 3 days same as cash

Do you have controls & cables
If not I have plenty
