| One
of the reasons I keep this sight updated is to help
fellow Feather Craft owners Identify what Feather Craft
they have. For the most part the catalog pictures will
help determine the model and the year. For most, at
least the model. The best way if you still are not sure
from the catalog pictures is to locate the serial number
for your boat. |
| |
|
The
serial number on my 1955 Vagabond was located in two
places. As seen in the pictures above the number is
stamped on the transom near the motor, the red
arrow points to the stamped number.
Also
under the dash is a Feather Craft decal that not only
listed the "Serial Number" but the "Model",
"H.P. Capacity", and "Passenger Capacity".

| Feather
Craft models below 1949 |
| |
|
I
have received several requests regarding serial numbers
for Feather Crafts below the 1949 model year. The
serial number on these boats do not appear to have
the letter designation which indicated the model.
The last two digits do how ever still appear to indicate
the year. Research is underway to provide decryption
for these numbers. Pictures and serial numbers of
boats older then 1949 would be appreciated to help
in the quest. Thanks! in advance......
I
am sure that the break down is similar to the break
down above except for the fact that the early models
had a number instead of a letter designation starting
the serial number out.
